Bulldogs Finish 2nd at JC Invitational with Bahr Taking Medalist Honors

The force was strong for the Bulldogs as they took part in the JC Jays Invitational at Meadow Lake Country Club on May the 4th.
The Bulldogs finished 2nd out of 7 teams and had three players finish in the top 15 to medal.
Sophomore Canter Bahr was the overall medalist shooting a 1 over 73 to lead the field. Also medaling for the Bulldogs was junior Dawson Caldwell with a 76 and senior Chancen Jordan with a 77.
Bahr, a State qualifier last season, recorded his first individual tournament win by eagling his final hole.
The Dawg Father, Coach Zack Nixon, was excited with how the Dawg Squad finished out the season. “It was an amazing finish. We have been out under high pressure situations in the last two tournaments which had been great preparation coming into Districts and State.”

Districts are Next
The Bulldogs will be making the long drive to Carl Junction on Monday the 11th for Class 4 District 3 play. They will be playing at the Par 72 Briarwood Golf Course. There are 15 teams in the Southwest district with opportunities for the Bulldogs to reach as a Team and as Individuals.
The top two team finishers will advance to the State Playoffs. The top 13 players that are not part of the two advancing teams will advance to the State Championship as well.
