Bulldog Golf Team takes 2nd at Waynesville Invitational.

The tournament might have been unconventional, but the Bulldog finishing in first place was very traditional! The Bulldogs headed to the familiar Piney Valley Golf Course in Waynesville and the squad had a day.

The Waynesville Invitational was an unconventional format using both individual scores as well as two different partner games. So each team consisted of 6 players.

As a team, the Bulldogs shot 296 giving them first place by 25 strokes. The Bulldogs won both of the partner events. In the Best Ball segment, senior Chancen Jordan teamed with sophomore Wilson Giacomelli shot a 4 under par, 68

In the two-man scramble it was sophomore Canter Bahr and junior Dawson Caldwell pairing up to shoot an 8 under64.

In the singles portion, Waylon Chapman shot 8 over for an 80 on the day which put him at 2nd place. Junior Trent Fitzsimmons played in his first varsity event, shooting an 84.
