The Sliders delivered one of their strongest showings of the season, powering through triple digit heat to claim a hard earned tournament victory. The sweltering conditions didn’t slow their momentum or their confidence, and the team’s all around execution set the tone from the opening pitch to the final out.
McCoy Schweiss put together a standout performance that defined the Sliders’ offensive surge. He reached base in all six plate appearances, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two walks.
Once aboard, he was electric — swiping six bases, crossing the plate four times, and driving in three runs. His combination of discipline, speed, and timely hitting kept the pressure squarely on the opposition.
On the mound, Kelton Ace turned in a commanding effort. He went the distance, firing five innings of two run ball while striking out seven. Ace controlled the tempo throughout, mixing pitches effectively and never allowing the heat or the opposing lineup to gain traction. His complete game performance anchored the Sliders’ defensive effort and ensured the team stayed in control.
With clutch hitting, aggressive base running, and dominant pitching, the Sliders showcased exactly what they’re capable of — and walked away with a well deserved win.
