Bulldogs Get 13th Win in a Row On Senior Night

It was Senior Night for the 2026 Rolla Bulldogs Baseball Team but before they could get to the festivities, they first had to take on the visiting Camdenton Lakers.
The game proved to be a pitchers' duel as both teams only combined for 4 runs on 7 hits. For the Bulldogs the 3 runs tied for the lowest offensive output of the season. But those 3 runs were enough as the Bulldogs moved their win streak to 13 games as they defeated the Lakers 3 to 1 to move to 21-7 on the season.
Bulldogs Grind Out the Win
It was another strong outing for the Bulldogs pitchers as senior southpaw Ruger Covey took his turn on the bump. The Missouri State - West Plains signee pitched a complete game allowing 1 run and giving up 2 hits while striking out 7.
Covey had a no-hitter going with the Bulldogs heading into the 6th inning with a 3-0 lead. A single by the first batter batter of the inning took the no-hitter of the board. That runner would come around to score 3 batters later on the second and only other hit given up by Covey.
He would get out of the inning on a double play hit to senior third baseman Riker Snodgrass who was able to get to the bag and gun the runner out at first.
Covey’s ERA is now a stunning 0.981 on the season with a 4-1 record in 35.2 innings pitched.
For the Lakers, Braxten Turner pitched a solid game striking out 8 and walking 5. But he gave up 5 hits on the night and the defense committed 3 errors and the Bulldogs took full advantage, scoring 2 unearned runs.
Senior center fielder Colton Petersmith continues to swing the bat with a purpose. The Nebraska signee leads the team in hitting at .489 as he went 3 for 3 on the night and scored a run.
Petersmith, whose speed helped him earn All-State honors on the football field, showcased that speed as he stole 3 bases, giving him a team leading 29 on the season.
Senior right fielder Jack Mrozowicz recorded the lone RBI for the Bulldogs on a sacrifice fly. The other two scores for the Bulldogs came on errors.
Senior Night Festivities
In between the varsity and the junior varsity games, the eight senior players and the two senior managers were recognized before a packed crowd at FCNB Field.
In a special tribute, beside sharing the favorite moment of the senior, Coach Hohe had the incredibly talented PA announcer share Coach Hohe’s favorite moment for that player or manager.

Rolla JV Puts Up Big Numbers in 11 to 1 Win
The offense for the varsity Bulldogs might have been misplaced, but apparently the junior varsity Bulldogs found it as they put up 11 runs on 8 hits and took down the JV Lakers 11 to 1.
Junior Zyair McWilliams earned the win for the Bulldogs JV. In his 3 inning pitched, he only allowed 1 run on one hit while sending 6 batters back to the dugout.
McWilliams also did his part behind the plate going 2 for 3 and scoring a run.
Freshman Westin drove in 3 runs while going 1 for 3 at the plate.
