Bulldog Boys Track Team Takes 1st, Girls Take 6th at Union Relays

Bulldogs Track & Field Squad was all smiles after their performance at the Union Relays.

The Bulldogs Boys and Girls Track Team took home 13 medals while setting 32 PRs combined at Tuesday's Union Relays.

There were some big performances at the Don Olszowka Invitational, led by sophomore Cruz Wilkins who took home 4 medals including first in the 400m dash and second in the 200m dash, while being part of two first place relays with the 4x200m and the 4x400m.

The 200m and 400m relay teams taking first consisted of junior Jay Loos and sophomores Wilkins, Bennet Duehning, and Aaron Stallworth. Stallworth also took 2nd in the 400m while Loos took 3rd in the 100m.

Other first place medals went to sophomore Bennet Duehning in the 300m hurdles and senior Nash Robinson in the discus. Both Duehning and Robinson hit PRs.

As Coach Cody Sneed has mentioned previously, there is a strong underclassmen continent on the Bulldog Track Team. The freshmen class are finding their way onto the stage for the Bulldog Track team.

Sophie Blakely continues to make a mark on the distance running scene as she again medals in the 1600m run with a 3rd place finish. Trenton Earl gets his third medal of the season in the pole vault with a 3rd place finish.
