Boys Take 1st and Girls finish 4th at Marshfield JV Track & Field Invitational

The Bulldog JV Boys and Girls Track Team combined for 34 PRs, nine first place finishes, six 2nd place finishes and five 3rd place finishes at the Marshfield JV Track and Field Invitational that was held on Monday, April 6th.
Coach Cody Sneed was excited for this young group. "We have an amazing group of athletes, who not only came out to compete, but were able to create some lifelong memories."
This resulted in the Boys walking away with the top score of the 11 team meet and the Girls finishing 4th out of 10 teams.
Sophomore Cruz Wilkins ran away with two first place finishes (100m and 400m) and was part of the 3rd place 4x100m relay team. Sophomore Andrew Clardy takes the gold in discus for the send meet in a row while setting another PR. Freshman Sophie Blakely takes home first in the 1600m once again.
This meet was a great opportunity for the younger group to gain some experience. "We brought some of our varsity underclassmen, who hadn’t been to a meet yet, in order to get times and marks. They were dying to get out there and did not disappoint. "
Due to the fluid nature of track and field, Coach Sneed had to call on some alternates for events who were able to rise to the occasion and earn varsity spots.
