Phelps Health Foundation Raises Over $150,000 at This Year’s Golf Tournament

What do you get when you add 80+ sponsors and 46 golf teams? Stumped? Well the answer is $150,000 plus. When it comes to the Phelps Health Foundation and their Annual Golf Tournament, they have embraced the “new match” concept. More than 80 sponsors got behind this event that featured 46 teams which again forced the organizers to break it into two tournaments to accommodate all of the golfers - one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
This was the 28th Annual Charity Golf Tournament hosted by the Phelps Health Foundation. Last year, the Foundation poured back into the community by helping more than 1,400 individuals who needed assistance in areas such as housing assistance, transportation to health screening and nutrition related to treatments.
This year’s tournament surpassed last year’s numbers by almost $30,000 and expanded by 8 teams. Title sponsors for this year’s tournament were McCarthy Building Companies and iMedX.
“Every golfer, sponsor and volunteer is helping someone in our community access the care they need,” said John Money, senior vice president of Human Resources and philanthropy at Phelps Health. “From helping patients travel to lifesaving appointments to providing essential medical equipment, this tournament changes lives.”
