Lady Bulldogs JV Finish the Season Undefeated at 22-0

Lady Bulldogs JV go undefeated on the season capped off with a 61-10 victory over Battle.

When a team goes 21 games without losing, it can be easy for them to get complacent. But not this team.

Facing an opportunity to go undefeated, the pressure and the nerves didn’t seem to be setting in on the Lady Bulldogs as they came out of the gate with same defensive intensity that they have shown all season and continued to share the ball with their teammates for a 19 -2 opening quarter.

It was 5’7” Fr guard Lacie Wilson who set the tone early. In the first 4 minutes, she recorded 3 assists, a steal and 2 points - contributing in all aspects of the game. Those stats represented teamwork perfectly as all 11 players on the JV roster scored  in the 61-10 blow out win.

The Lady Bulldogs defense held the Battle JV scoreless in the 2nd period and only one field goal in the first 3 quarters as Battle hit 4 free throws in the 3rd period. Offensively, they were once again paced by 5’10” So forward Riley Hollis with 11 points and 5’5” Fr guard Grace Fontenot and 5’9” So forward Zoey Northup each with 8 points.
